Seacoast Modern Quilt Guild is a non-profit organization operating in the Seacoast area of New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts. It is the local branch of the Modern Quilt Guild and members have access to members-only areas of the national Modern Quilt Guild site as well as special discounts on Modern Quilt Guild programs and events.
The purpose of the Guild shall is to provide an atmosphere of fellowship for persons interested in the art and craft of modern quilt making and related arts by sharing the skill, knowledge, and inspiration in the field of quilt making. We do this by:

Every month Guild members get together to learn new skills and simply enjoy talking to other quilters! All ages and experience levels are welcome. Your first meeting is free of charge, unless there is a special program which may require a small fee. After your first meeting there is a $10 charge for subsequent meetings. Typical activities include:
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS: Some meetings may include a special program focusing on a specific skill or design. Sometimes members are encouraged to follow-up with examples they have created at subsequent meetings. Sometimes programs include fun hands-on activities.
BLOCK OF THE MONTH: Members participate in fun Block-of-the-Month challenges. Everyone is given a pattern to complete and sometimes there may be guidance on colors. The hope is that we will all return the following month with interesting and different takes on the pattern.
SHOW AND TELL: This is everyone's favorite part of the meeting! Members share their work and talk about their quilting journeys. Every month we are amazed at the beautiful work that is happening. Truly inspiring!
COMMUNITY OUTREACH: As a quilting guild, we believe the main way we should support the community and give back is to make quilts! Sometimes guild members all work on one quilt and sometimes members create their own for donation to local organizations such as Cross Roads House.
