Together we will stitch quilts for local organizations in need .
Cross Roads House = twin sized, gender neutral
Sleep in Heavenly Peace = youth lap sized, male, female, gender neutral Families First = lap sized, male or female, baby to lap sized
New Generation (?) = baby sized or female lap Any other local ideas?
Have fun quilting with fellow guild members, make new stitching friends, learn new techniques, all while doing good work for our community!
Quilters may bring their own project to work on OR choose a station (Designer, Stitcher or Presser) . You will work as a group and all projects are meant to be donated. Arrive with pattern / design in mind, lay-out, cut, organize & feed blocks to stitchers
If you have a kit you chose from guild supply, now is the time to dig it out! If you want to do a string / strip quilt design, all scraps will be provided. Batting will also be provided if needed
Remember . . . Quilt as you go (QAYG ) is a great way to use up scrap batting!
Bring: Rotary cutting tools, snippers, rulers / templates, pins, marking tool, cutting mat
Chain-piece blocks that will be given to you by designer, OR make SMQG labels for use on quilts to be donated
AND / OR: Hand stitcher: add labels to made quilts, add binding
Bring: Machine, power cord, extension cord, snippers, pins, thread, full bobbins, hand-stitching needles
